Jean Choleva

Kate Crosswhite graduated from Texas Wesleyan University with a BS in Psychology in 2015. However, her passion for helping children is what led her to substitute teaching at Fort Bend Christian Academy. While at FBCA she had the opportunity to grow in her love for education and teaching through multiple long-term substitute positions over several years. Her heart for children began early in her life and has led to many opportunities to serve in several children’s ministries as a Sunday school teacher, VBS teacher, and children’s choir teacher. Now that she is a mother, the love for her child and her love for teaching are coalescing as she now pursues homeschooling. She desires to see children grow in their love for learning and most importantly their love for The Lord. Although knowledge is of utmost importance, the application of knowledge is even more so. Therefore, her classes will always be taught through a Biblical lens as she seeks to reach the heart of her students as they grow in their understanding of the world around them and the role God has for them in it.
