Digital Art Course Description: In this one hour class for ages 10 and up, students will be introduced to the digital art medium. In class we will learn the basics of digital drawing and photo manipulation including layers and masks. Students will also learn how to create different sized artwork and about the formats and file types they can work with. This class will build the foundation for graphic design such as logos and book covers as well as extend the boundaries of more traditional art styles. We will learn how to make gifs and animate our drawings. Super fun stuff!
***If your student would like to retake this class for more art instruction and fun, that would be wonderful! This curriculum is easily adapted to be more and more challenging as the student gains art skills and experience.***
Required Materials: This class requires an iPad capable of running the latest iOS updates, the Procreate Application (available in the app store) and a stylus. A syllabus with more information on technology requirements and stylus suggestions will be emailed upon registration or handed out at Orientation. Below are suggestions for iPads.
