Digital Art Course Description: In this one hour class for ages 10 and up, we will dive deep into the limitless world of digital art. There are so many techniques to master, so this is a good class to retake. We will practice some elements of basic art and then utilize numerous techniques in manipulating the elements. Students will learn how to manipulate the app to create detailed, in depth artwork and animation. This is a fabulous tool for many future applications in all kinds of job fields. Students will create logos, study realism, create their own animated stories from conception and story board to finished cartoon, as well as utilize the tools in the app to make realistic 3D architectural paintings.
The iPad app ProCreate has tools to create balanced and accurate perspective drawings, to accentuate your abstract vision, perfect your animations, give outlet to your wit and humor with gif creation, and professionally enhance your imaginative illustrations that are not only fun to use, but practical for your future in this technology-heavy world we live in.
***If your student would like to retake this class for more art instruction and fun, that would be wonderful! This curriculum is easily adapted to be more and more challenging as the student gains art skills and experience.***
Required Materials: Students will need an iPad, stylus (I highly recommend the Apple Pencil), and the app “ProCreate” for this class.
