*NOTE: There is a minimum of 5 students required for this class to progress; maximum is 15.

Course Description: 3-4 Language Arts will provide grammar, literature, and writing lessons. Each week students will read exciting, colorful, and adventurous literature. Rod & Staff’s English 3 is a solid, comprehensive program that teaches grammar and mechanics. In Adventures in Writing, students will explore a wide variety of fascinating topics such as dolphins, tornadoes, and Leif Eriksson while learning to write with the Structure and Style writing method. Students will learn to take notes, retell narrative stories, summarize references, write from pictures, compose essays, and more! Students should be expected to work on assignments at home approximately 2 to 4 hours each week. Parents will be responsible for editing writing projects, checking grammar homework, and monitoring novel reading.
