*****Before registering for this class, NEW students will need to complete a required placement test. Please email Mrs. Taft for the test. This test will help to determine the student’s level of mastery and if he/she is ready for this class.*****
Course Description: This class will help students progress from an understanding of concrete math to the beginning abstract concepts of Algebra. In order to prepare students for high school, responsibility will be put on them to complete daily homework assignments, as well as checking and correcting missed problems at home. They will also take at-home tests twice each quarter. Parents will be responsible for proctoring these tests, as well as checking their student’s homework. In order to be most successful, students should expect to work on assignments at home 4 days each week.
