Course Description: This course includes an Introduction to Anatomy & Physiology, as well as learning about health and nutrition. Students will gain an in-depth knowledge of how wonderfully God designed our bodies, as well as both macronutrients and micronutrients, including the importance of exercise and proper diet. We will also cover basic first aid. This class will include experiments and fun activities to reinforce the topics covered in class.

In the Introduction to Anatomy & Physiology books, we will examine the awe-inspiring design of the human body as students study the structure, function, and regulation of the cardiovascular, respiratory, musculoskeletal, digestive, and nervous systems. Students will discover how their heart and lungs function, the intricacies of the musculoskeletal system, how blood pressure is regulated, the structure of the brain and so much more!

In the Apologia Health and Nutrition book, we will learn about the importance of heath, taking care of your senses, the importance of hydration, nutrition, the job of vitamins and minerals in our body, the importance of physical exercise, and much more.

Students should expect to work on assignments at home 3 days each week.
