Course Description: Heritage Studies 3 covers United States history from the Constitutional Convention through the Civil War from a Christian perspective. We will also study the geographical regions of the United States. These easy to manage lessons include reading, mapping, timeline, projects, and other fun activities. Students will gain an understanding of who they are as an American Christian by studying events from the past. The students can see the consequences of right and wrong choices. Students will gain cultural, societal and individual wisdom. Students will begin to acquire the ability to critically evaluate current conditions of our nation. Special attention will be given to how Americans have valued freedom. By using this Biblical View or Christian Worldview students become better prepared to speak for God in an increasingly secular society.
