Course Description: This class will give students a well-rounded, basic understanding of the accounting process by using a step-by-step method with emphasis on conceptual understanding. Students will have the ability to master skills such as critical thinking as well as applying the learned concepts to real-world scenarios. This class assumes the student has a basic understanding of general math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Accounting is about a process; in order for the student to be successful they will need to keep up with the assigned weekly reading and homework assignments. Parents are responsible for proctoring any take home tests. Students will need to have access to Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
