Course Description: The purpose of Math Games is to give students more practice of math skills while having fun playing games! The format of this class will be very relaxed with an ability of each student to move at his/her own pace. Through the exploration of different manipulatives and activities each student will be given the chance to solve a problem a week individually then work as a group. We will then further explore these skills through centers, as the students rotate through each as they come to class. Centers will change monthly as we will be covering new themes/skills each month. Students will be invited to bring their favorite board games to play at specific times of the year and share with class as well! Homework will be optional with suggestive supplemental handouts to foster the skill learned in class.
