Course Description: Susan Jaroszewski’s one hour class consists of Drawing in the fall and Painting in the spring semester. In class, I work with students on Still life drawings with a focus on the fundamentals of drawing and painting. My returning students are encouraged to use their own creativity with lots of guidance and directions from the teacher. Students will explore different mediums such as colored pencils, soft pastels, oil pastels and acrylic paint. We will focus on drawing and the basics in the first semester for new students and advanced drawing for those who have been attending my classes. Also, we will be discussing famous artists and learning to draw and paint in their styles. In addition to regular classes, there will be opportunities for a field trip to the Museum scheduled on a Thursday, with chaperon assistance from parents. The finale of the class will be an Art show at the end of the spring semester during the CPC Fine Arts Performance evening. The date will be announced in late Spring.
