Class Tuition: $550 per year or 10 equal installments of $55

*****Before registering for this class, students will need to complete a required placement test found here: (Please, no calculators or parent help) Upon completion, please email the test to the teacher for review. This will help to determine the student’s level of mastery and if they are ready for this class.*****

Course Description: This class will help students progress from an understanding of concrete math to the beginning abstract concepts of Algebra. In order to prepare students for high school, responsibility will be put on them to complete daily homework assignments, as well as checking and correcting missed problems at home. They will also take at-home tests twice each quarter. Parents will be responsible for proctoring tests twice each quarter, as well as ensuring students have checked and corrected their weekly homework assignments. In order to be most successful, students should be expected to work on assignments at home 4 days each week.

Required Materials:  Saxon Algebra 1/2 text and test booklet, 3rd edition. Notebook paper. Binder or Folder with brads. Graph paper. Colored pen. Pencils.
